Corbeaux Editorial Services exists because I understand one thing very clearly. Romance authors regularly feel that their work is undervalued, dismissed, or judged. And dark and paranormal romance authors also have to deal with people who don't understand where those dark and twisted stories come from, or why they're fun!
Too often I hear from authors that they are nervous to send their manuscript to an editor for fear of the editor's reaction. And I just can't let that stand.
Because you, dear author, have written something amazing, and it is just as valid as a novel from any other genre. What's more, your work deserves just as much professional care as anyone else's.
So here I am.
I have an editing certificate from the University of Washington, experience working with an indie press and with self-publishing authors, and a passion for stories and the authors who create them. I specialize in dark and paranormal romance, though I love working with all sorts of genre fiction.
I'm not here to scold you or rewrite your work. I am here to make observations, offer suggestions, and correct errors.
The way I see it, our jobs are different, but our goals are the same: get your manuscript in its best shape and into the hands and hearts of your readers.
